Sure I can't cash out now?

I want to convert my play chip totals into real cash. Any takers?

Of course not, but still, the thought is a nice one.

The above pic is the most recent big field tourney I played in. 3rd place, and when we got to 3 handed I was well behind the other 2 in chip counts--actually made it interesting about 10 hands into 3-handed, but alas, got knocked out.

You can see the payout for 3rd in the pic--considering the buy-in (250+50 in fake money), nice little ROI.

I know, and I hear you. "Why are you playing free money games?"

Thanks to our wonderful government, reloading my accounts is next to impossible. epassporte is slow at the moment--looks like they are hesitant to open new ewallets for Americans. Still waiting on that. Online poker will vanish unless these laws are changed. Bill Frist is still a scab infested jackass. Hopefully, one day, folks in positions of power will recognize poker as a skill game, with luck mixed in. We can run legal lotteries (same game as KENO), We can run BINGO games legally (but just barely--you beleive that?), yet poker, a game where YOU make the decision on whether you risk your money or not, is illegal.

Sorry to vent that stuff again, but it just gets on my nerves. Government should protect us from others, not ourselves.

Had 2 Powerball numbers this weekend-no powerball with them, though. Gotta work through at least Wednesday again this week!

Don't forget (at least they're big in Cab/Row counties) Pool Tournaments. This is the closest thing to poker I can think of. The shots take skill but the lay of the table (that the other player leaves you) is random luck. LEGAL!!!!

Not trying to create a diatribe on your blog but this is a hot button for me as well.

Poker is skill (w/ luck mixed in here and there). WHen you play Keno, Bingo, Lotto, etc. you are playing a game that once the game starts, you have NO effect on the outcome. The outcome is 100% random and you are subject o 100% Lady Luck.

Poker on the other hand is just the opposite. A skilled player decides which hands to play (on a variety of input and skill). Even the outcome of the cards is only partially luck as a ggod player can calculate the odds of various cards coming.

Unlike the above mentioned games, the PLAYER has a direct involvement in the outcome of the game. A good player does well more times than not and marginal players CAN GET BETTER over time. Your odds on Keno or Lotto are the same every time you play it.

Again, had to vent but if this is not the right place, feel free to del this with no hard feelings.
